San Bruno, CA - The WCC announced the 2008 Spring All-Academic Teams today, with Saint Mary's receiving 10 honorees from five sports. The 2008 WCC All-Academic teams honor some of the league's finest examples of the consummate scholar-athlete. To be considered, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his or her team.
Moraga, CA - Achim Christner was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Eight First Team following his stellar academic and athletic achievements. Christner has accumulated a 3.98 GPA while majoring in Business Administration with a concentration on finance. The Holzelfingen, Germany native finished his undergraduate degree in three years, and will continue his Saint Mary's tennis career next season while pursuing his graduate degree.
